The Tone:
This is a full-time, three-month internship at The Walt Disney Company, located in Glendale/Burbank, CA and Orlando, FL. The Walt Disney Company is a global entertainment and media organization known for its diverse businesses spanning content creation, consumer products, and theme parks. This role offers undergraduate students an early immersion into the company’s accounting and finance functions, providing a foundational understanding crucial for a future career in the field. This internship serves as a preview for the company’s comprehensive two-year Accounting & Finance Rotational Program.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Contribute to department operations: Interns will be placed in one of the departments that typically host AFRP Analysts, such as Corporate, Disney Entertainment, or Disney Experiences.
• Engage in functional areas: Participate in functional accounting and finance areas including Operational/Transactional Accounting, Financial Reporting, Audit & Compliance, or Finance.
• Build technical competencies: Develop key technical skills essential for succeeding within assigned segments and across The Walt Disney Company.
• Cultivate leadership abilities: Enhance leadership skills needed to thrive in various business environments.
• Gain program insight: Experience a summer preview of The Walt Disney Company’s two-year Accounting & Finance Rotational Program.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Junior-level undergraduate student graduating in May/June 2028, pursuing a major or previous coursework in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field, with a focus on Accounting.
• Experience: Business experience gained through internships or part-time work, coupled with a proven track record to take on leadership positions and significant responsibility.
• Skills: Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; quantitative skills; advanced written and oral communications skills.
• Bonus: 3.5 GPA or higher; a desire to become licensed as a CPA; dedication to building a career in accounting and finance; interest in The Walt Disney Company’s two-year Accounting & Finance Rotational Program after graduation.
