What You’ll Actually Do
• Accounting Entries: Accurately enter Accounts Payable (AP) invoices and expense reports into the accounting system.
• Financial Reconciliation: Perform detailed bank and prepaid reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.
• Transaction Processing: Disburse credit card statements, collect associated receipts, and post the corresponding journal entries.
• Payment Processing: Assemble and print the weekly check run for financial disbursements.
• General Ledger Management: Make precise journal entries directly into the General Ledger (GL) to update financial records.
The Must-Haves
• Background: A Bachelor’s degree is required in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, providing a strong foundation in financial principles and practices for an early career professional.
• Experience: You should have 1-2 years of relevant accounting experience, specifically involving general ledger processes, bank reconciliations, and the preparation of month-end journal entries.
• Skills: Demonstrated proficiency in accounting principles, general ledger management, and experience with various reconciliation types, including bank reconciliations and prepaid accounts. The ability to accurately perform and post month-end journal entries is also essential.
• Bonus: Candidates who possess strong attention to detail and accuracy, along with effective communication skills, will thrive in this role. The ability to work both independently on tasks and collaboratively as part of a team is also highly valued.
