The role actively participates in the critical month-end close process, encompassing the preparation of essential journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations to support robust financial reporting.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Journal Entries: Prepare and accurately post journal entries, ensuring all transactions are backed by comprehensive supporting documentation for auditing and record-keeping purposes.
• Account Reconciliation: Systematically analyze various balance sheet accounts and meticulously prepare their corresponding reconciliations to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
• Data Management: Proactively retrieve, process, and critically analyze financial and operational data from diverse internal and external sources to support accounting functions.
• Schedule Maintenance: Maintain and update detailed supporting accounting schedules, which are essential for the integrity and transparency of financial records.
• Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to all company accounting policies, established procedures, and applicable internal controls to uphold financial compliance and operational integrity.
The Must-Haves
• Background: A Bachelor’s degree in accounting from an accredited college or university is required. Candidates must possess a fundamental understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and demonstrate the capability to apply these principles effectively to various financial situations encountered within the role.
• Experience: No prior professional experience is strictly required for this role, making it an excellent opportunity for recent graduates. However, 0-2 years of experience in public accounting or within an industry accounting setting is preferred and would be considered beneficial.
• Skills: Candidates must possess strong analytical, organizational, and critical thinking skills to effectively manage financial data and processes. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities are essential for collaborating with team members and responding to inquiries. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Teams, is also required. Additionally, the role demands the ability to meet deadlines, prioritize multiple tasks, and demonstrate high integrity in handling confidential financial information.
