Vice President, Documentary Trade Product Manager – Transaction Banking Office for Asia | Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group

• Team: Transaction Banking team in Singapore, assisting the Head of Department.
• Mission: Develop and manage trade finance products across APAC, ensuring consistency, compliance, and support for local market needs, with a particular focus on Mandarin-speaking clients.
• Tech Stack: Excel, MIS, PowerPoint
What You’ll Actually Do
• Product Strategy: Lead comprehensive assessments for new products, variations, and bespoke deals for the Singapore branch, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
• Collaboration & Consistency: Collaborate closely with functional stakeholders at headquarters, regional offices, and country teams to drive product initiatives and maintain regional consistency.
• Product Development: Develop detailed product structures and schematics that support both primary and secondary market offerings in documentary trade.
• Process Optimization: Analyse end-to-end transactional workflows to identify areas for efficiency improvement and operational risk reduction.
• Compliance & Guidance: Ensure all product development activities comply with relevant bank policies and regulatory requirements, and provide guidance to APAC branch Product Managers outside Singapore.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related discipline, with a focus on documentary trade product management within transaction banking.
• Experience: Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in transaction banking with a focus on documentary trade, including experience working with or supporting Mandarin-speaking clients.
• Skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel for product performance reporting, strong background in MIS and data analysis, expertise in PowerPoint for executive-level presentations, and excellent analytical capability.
• Bonus: Proven creative critical thinking skills to identify innovative solutions and a strong work ethic combined with mindfulness for professional integrity and a positive work environment.
