What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Close Management: Contribute actively to the timely and accurate execution of both the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all necessary steps are completed efficiently.
• Financial Reporting: Take responsibility for the preparation and in-depth analysis of various financial statements and comprehensive reports, providing valuable insights into the company’s financial performance.
• Account Reconciliation: Execute thorough and precise reconciliations for critical accounts, including bank statements, balance sheet accounts, prepaid expenses, and accrual accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
• Budget & Forecasting Support: Provide essential support for the annual budget and forecasting cycles, assisting in data collection and analysis to contribute to informed financial planning.
• Compliance & Controls: Uphold strict adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and maintain robust internal accounting controls, safeguarding the integrity of financial data.
The Must-Haves
• Background: A foundational Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is essential, providing the necessary academic groundwork for this early-career professional role.
• Experience: 0-3+ years of professional accounting experience, ideally including 1-2 years of month-end close exposure.
• Skills: Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including advanced capabilities such as Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and complex formulas. A solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and practical experience with internal accounting controls are also required.
