Finance Co-Op | VB Spine

The Tone:
This is a Co-Op position at VB Spine, located in Leesburg, VA, with a hybrid work arrangement. VB Spine is the largest privately held spine company and among the largest family-owned medical technology companies globally, supporting surgeons during life-changing spinal procedures. This role is crucial for gaining hands-on experience in core accounting, reporting, and financial analysis, directly contributing to business deliverables within a medical device environment.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Reporting: Generate and review accounting statements and reports to facilitate financial statement preparation.
• Close Processes: Support month-end and year-year-end close processes, preparing journal entries as needed.
• Reconciliation: Reconcile assigned accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
• Analysis: Analyze financial data using Excel, applying VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and variance analysis.
• Documentation: Organize and maintain audit-ready documentation for internal and external requests.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• Experience: Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the future; strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities; ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing demands.
• Bonus: Proven leadership potential and business acumen; enthusiastic, proactive, and eager to learn.
