The Tone:
This is a full-time role at New Castle Building Products, located in White Plains, NY. This role is crucial for supporting the Finance/Accounting department’s operations and ensuring financial accuracy and compliance at the company’s headquarters. The TL;DR

• Location: In-person, White Plains, NY
• Pay: $60000–$65000 yearly
• Team: Reports to the Controller and Accounting Manager
• Mission: Provides essential support to the Finance/Accounting department by managing daily transactions, assisting with closing activities, and ensuring compliance with financial policies and tax requirements.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Banking: Post and reconcile bank transactions on a regular basis.
• Closing Support: Assist in all phases of financial closing and reporting.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies and procedures.
• Tax Preparation: Prepare sales and other tax returns.
• Record Keeping: Maintain appropriate journal entries, accruals, and prepaid schedules where necessary.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field, with knowledge of accrual basis accounting, fixed asset accounting, and tax filing requirements.
• Experience: Minimum of 1–2 years of corporate accounting experience is preferred.
• Skills: Excellent Excel and analytical skills.
