• Mission: This person will own the accurate and compliant processing of multi-state and international payroll, along with comprehensive payroll accounting and reporting.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Manage Payroll Operations: Oversee the accurate and timely processing of multi-state US and international payroll for approximately 250 employees.
• Conduct Payroll Accounting: Prepare journal entries, manage accruals, generate reports, handle tax filings, and support audit processes related to payroll.
• Support Financial Planning: Perform budgeting and variance analysis specifically for the HR and compensation departments.
• Drive Career Development: Progress towards a management or director-level role in compensation, potentially overseeing global payroll, long-term incentive plans, equity programs, and executive compensation.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance. Career level: Manager.
• Experience: 5-10 years of experience in payroll and accounting, with a demonstrated ability to operate at a manager level.
• Skills: US multi-state and international payroll processing, payroll accounting (journal entries, accruals, reporting, tax filing, audit), HR/compensation department budgeting and variance analysis.
