The Tone:
This is a full-time role at firstPRO, Inc, located North of Boston, offering a hybrid work model with 2-3 days a week in the office. The company is rapidly growing, and this role provides an opportunity to contribute to scaling its financial operations by working directly within leadership. This position is crucial for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring strict internal controls over cash and assets, and assisting with critical month-end closing procedures. The focus will be on ensuring real-time cash management, liquidity tracking, and asset verification for the organization.

What You’ll Actually Do
Bank Reconciliations: Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations across multiple operating and sweep accounts.
Cash Flow Monitoring: Monitor daily cash positions, track cash inflows and outflows, and manage cash application processes.
Journal Entry Management: Prepare, review, and post essential journal entries for routine business transactions, prepayments, and accruals.
Month-End Support: Assist in executing the monthly closing calendar, ensuring all financial data is accurately consolidated and deadlines are met.
Balance Sheet Reconciliation: Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations across bank accounts, credit cards, and intercompany transactions to identify and resolve discrepancies.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration; Entry-level career stage.
• Experience: 1–3 years of general accounting experience.
• Skills: Financial record maintenance, adherence to internal control procedures, support for GAAP compliance, cash management, and balance sheet reconciliation.
• Bonus: Public accounting experience or corporate internships; CPA candidate or intention to pursue professional certification.
