This Staff Accountant role is crucial for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the company’s financial records, supporting key financial processes, and contributing to timely and precise financial reporting that underpins HOONIGAN’s global operations.

• Mission: This person will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records through detailed reconciliations and journal entries, and for supporting the monthly and year-end financial close processes, reporting, and annual audits.
• Tech Stack: MS Excel, SAP (plus)

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Accuracy: Prepare and review monthly reconciliations to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records.
• Close Process: Assist in the monthly and year-end financial close processes, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
• Audit & Filings: Collaborate on the preparation of monthly filings and support the annual financial statement audits.
• Statement Creation: Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
• GAAP Compliance: Perform daily accounting tasks, including various journal entries and reconciliations, in compliance with GAAP standards.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. 1+ year of accounting experience.
• Experience: Proficiency with accounting software and MS Excel.
• Skills: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, strong organizational skills, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities efficiently.
• Bonus: Experience in public accounting or proficiency with SAP accounting software.
