The Tone:
This is an accounting role at NOVOMATIC Americas, the local subsidiary for the NOVOMATIC Group of Companies in the USA. This role is crucial for maintaining the integrity of financial records, supporting core accounting processes, and ensuring effective credit control for customer accounts across the North American and Caribbean markets.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Credit Control: Proactively manage credit-control activities, which includes preparing comprehensive customer account statements, initiating contact with customers regarding past-due balances, and collaborating with account managers to effectively resolve outstanding issues.
• Accounts Payable Support: Provide essential support for the Accounts Payable process, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
• Accounts Receivable Support: Assist with the Accounts Receivable process to ensure prompt collection of payments and accurate recording of incoming funds.
• Financial Reconciliation: Execute diligent bookkeeping and cash reconciliation processes to maintain accurate financial records and ensure all accounts balance correctly.
• Month-End Assistance: Contribute actively to month-end close procedures, supporting the team in preparing financial statements and ensuring all necessary adjustments are made.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Hold a minimum of an Associate Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a closely related field. This position is suited for early-career professionals who possess a demonstrated working knowledge of both Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Experience: Possess at least 1 year of dedicated accounting experience, or have successfully completed multiple internships in accounting or finance if a new graduate. Practical working knowledge of ERP systems is advantageous, particularly with Microsoft Business Central.
• Skills: Exhibit excellent computer skills, specifically proficiency with the MS Office Suite. Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication abilities, a proven capacity to establish and consistently meet deadlines, strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to effectively multi-task across various financial activities.
• Bonus: A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is highly preferred for this role.
