Revenue Reporting Accountant | Diamondback Energy

• Mission: Analyze revenue data and support accrual and re-accrual entries to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Excel (e.g., XLOOKUP, SUMIF, Pivot Tables)
What You’ll Actually Do
• Analyze: Analyze monthly revenue data, including production volumes and pricing, to support accrual and re-accrual processes.
• Prepare: Prepare accruals, journal entries, and perform all necessary month-end close activities.
• Reconcile: Reconcile general ledger accounts and support broader account reconciliation processes.
• Report: Ensure all revenue reporting deadlines are met promptly and accurately.
• Support: Assist other members of the Revenue Reporting team as needed and perform ad hoc analysis and special projects.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree (BBA or BS) in Accounting, with a foundational understanding of revenue accounting, production, and general accounting principles.
• Experience: Foundational career level; one (1+) year of accounting experience is preferred, especially within the oil and gas industry.
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including functions like XLOOKUP, SUMIF, and Pivot Tables; strong organizational and time management skills; high attention to detail.
• Bonus: Demonstrated interest in process improvements and efficiency enhancements; ability to adapt to changing priorities and work assignments; ability to learn new systems and concepts quickly.
