Accounting Specialist | DENSO

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at DENSO. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining financial integrity by investigating, analyzing, and reconciling accounting and financial information, as well as preparing essential financial statements. The Accounting Specialist acts as a key liaison, resolving outstanding issues between internal departments and affiliates. This role is fundamental to ensuring accurate financial records and smooth operations within the company.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Journal Entries: Create basic journal entries and prepare work paper reconciliations and analyses.
• Asset Management: Create new assets, run depreciation processes, and prepare all necessary reporting.
• Tooling Records: Monitor and approve tooling records, process customer invoices, and assist the sales team in resolving past due tooling records.
• Financial Reporting & Reconciliation: Prepare bank reconciliations, conduct cash account analyses, complete necessary financial reporting, and perform intercompany account reconciliations.
• Process Improvement: Suggest and implement process improvements within your area of responsibility.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field, with an entry-level understanding of core accounting principles.
• Experience: 0-3 years of related professional experience.
• Skills: Knowledge of GAAP/IFRS, strong written and verbal communication skills, robust analytical abilities, and customer service skills.
• Bonus: A process improvement mindset, the ability to function effectively as a cross-functional team member, intermediate system knowledge, and the capacity to take full ownership of financial statements.
