The Tone:
This is a part-time internship at Career Now Brands, located in downtown Royal Oak. Career Now Brands creates marketing solutions for recruitment and enrollment practices within the trucking, education, and job distribution industries. Their flagship products, including CDL Job Now and RocketPost, help build client businesses while impacting millions of lives by boosting employment and enrollments across the U.S. This role is crucial for supporting the finance team by gaining hands-on experience with the day-to-day accounting operations.

• Mission: To support customer invoicing, payment processing, collections, and account maintenance to ensure accurate accounts receivable functions.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Invoicing: Prepare and send customer invoices to ensure timely billing for services.
• Payment Processing: Process and post incoming customer payments, assisting with applying cash receipts and remittances.
• Collections: Monitor outstanding accounts receivable, send payment reminders, and follow up on past-due invoices.
• Account Maintenance: Maintain accurate customer billing information and records, researching and resolving payment discrepancies.
• Reporting & Projects: Assist with AR reporting and contribute to other finance-related projects as needed.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level, currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• Experience: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, for data management and analysis.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail and accuracy, excellent written and verbal communication, strong organizational and time-management skills, and comfort working with financial information.
• Bonus: Experience with QuickBooks, HubSpot, or other accounting/CRM software.
