• Mission: This role is responsible for maintaining the financial integrity of East Alabama Health through meticulous processing of accounting transactions, accurate reconciliations, comprehensive audit support, and the preparation of complex financial reports.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Transaction Processing & Documentation: Oversee the accurate processing of diverse accounting transactions and meticulously manage all corresponding supporting documentation, ensuring completeness and compliance.
• Financial Reconciliations: Conduct comprehensive reconciliations of various financial accounts, meticulously identifying and resolving discrepancies to maintain the integrity of financial data.
• Audit Preparation: Compile and prepare all essential supporting documentation specifically for the annual year-end audit, facilitating a smooth and efficient review process.
• Advanced Accounting & Reporting: Execute complex accounting tasks and generate detailed financial reporting assignments, providing critical insights for operational management.
• Professional Development: Actively pursue self-development and maintain compliance with all continuing education requirements, ensuring ongoing proficiency with new technological changes relevant to the role.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting, positioning this as an early-career opportunity.
• Experience: Entry-level professional; however, 2-4 years of prior accounting experience is strongly preferred for this role.
• Skills:
• Financial Transaction Processing: Demonstrated knowledge and capability in processing various accounting transactions accurately.
• Account Reconciliation: Proficiency in performing detailed financial reconciliations to ensure data integrity.
• Documentation Management: Skill in preparing and managing supporting documentation for accounting processes and audits.
• Complex Accounting Tasks: Ability to execute complex accounting tasks.
• Financial Reporting: Competence in preparing comprehensive reporting assignments.
• Bonus: A Bachelor’s degree specifically in Accounting is preferred. Additionally, candidates possessing 2-4 years of relevant accounting experience will be at an advantage.
