The Tone:
This is an 8-week summer internship at YHB | CPAs & Consultants, located on-site in one of YHB’s many office locations. YHB is seeking proactive and detail-oriented interns to join its Audit Team. This role is crucial for completing audit testing on financial statement accounts and expanding your audit knowledge, offering significant opportunities for individual and professional development within the firm.

• Mission: To complete audit testing on financial statement accounts and expand audit knowledge by executing tasks geared towards professional development.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Conduct Audit Testing: Complete audit testing on financial statement accounts such as cash, accounts payable, or fixed assets.
• Build Professional Relationships: Foster connections with accounting professionals to create networks within the industry.
• Collaborate on Projects: Work collaboratively with other interns on a group project that will be presented at the end of the internship.
• Support Client Engagements: Participate in client meetings alongside YHB managers and work with client personnel to reconcile account differences and analyze financial data.
• Draft Audit Documentation: Help to draft management letter comments and the audit report.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-level intern with knowledge from Intermediate Accounting 1 & 2 coursework.
• Experience: No prior professional experience required; a basic understanding of auditing principles and practices is essential.
• Skills: Effective time management, problem-solving abilities, strong written and verbal communication, and a keen eye for detail.
