The Accounting Assistant is a vital member of the Accounting team, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations and contributing to the company’s ability to manage its global transactions effectively.

• Mission: Support the Accounting team’s daily operations and month-end close activities for a global supply chain company.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Manage the full accounts payable cycle, including invoice entry, payment processing, vendor communication, and monitoring outstanding balances.
• Support month-end close activities by preparing reconciliations and assisting with balance sheet account analysis.
• Process and apply incoming customer and supplier payments, along with outgoing vendor and employee payments via various methods.
• Maintain accurate financial records, processing customer and vendor credits, returns, and RMAs within the ERP system.
• Assist with essential operational accounting tasks such as payroll processing, employee expense report review, and corporate credit card reconciliation.

The Must-Haves
• Background: 4-year college degree in Accounting; Entry-Level career experience.
• Experience: 1+ years of experience in Operational or Financial Accounting, specifically with Accounts Receivable (AR) or Accounts Payable (AP).
• Skills: Introductory knowledge in operational accounting, experience with financial reconciliation, payment processing, and maintaining accurate records within an accounting system.
