The Tone:
This is an early career role at White Lodging, located in Louisville, KY. White Lodging develops and operates a portfolio of award-winning, premium-brand hotels, rooftop bars, and restaurants. As part of the Accounting team, this role is crucial for ensuring financial accuracy, timely payments, and smooth vendor relationships that support hotel operations. Your work will directly contribute to the seamless operation of our hospitality venues.

The TL;DR

• Pay: $20.25 hourly
• Mission: Ensure financial accuracy, timely payments, and smooth vendor relationships supporting hotel operations.
• Tech Stack: PMS & POS systems, credit card processing systems

What You’ll Actually Do
• Payments: Ensure all invoices are paid on time and accurately, and bill Accounts Receivable invoices timely and accurately.
• Reconciliations: Reconcile and research Accounts Payable vendor statements to maintain current and accurate records.
• Loss Minimization: Complete chargebacks and credit card reconciliations in a timely and accurate manner to minimize financial losses.
• Vendor Relations: Maintain productive relationships with external vendors to effectively resolve billing issues.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. High School Diploma or GED required, with basic knowledge of bookkeeping, filing systems, and accounting operations including Accounts Receivable (A/R) and Accounts Payable (A/P).
• Experience: Skilled in numbers, billing, and balancing, with practical experience utilizing PMS & POS systems, as well as credit card processing systems.
• Skills: Excellent customer service skills, including promptly responding to billing questions and effectively de-escalating heightened questions and scenarios.
• Bonus: Prior hotel experience and specific Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable experience are considered advantageous.
