• Mission: Support the college’s financial operations by processing and monitoring transactions, ensuring compliance, and contributing to the effective stewardship of university resources.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Transaction Processing: Process and review travel vouchers, employee reimbursement requests, and manage purchase card transactions.
• Compliance Monitoring: Monitor financial transactions and documentation to ensure adherence to university policies and financial regulations.
• Financial Support: Serve as the primary financial contact for assigned departments, responding to inquiries and providing guidance on fiscal policies.
• Reporting & Reconciliation: Assist with quarterly financial reporting, reconciliation, and budget monitoring activities.
• Operational Improvement: Contribute to continuous improvement efforts designed to strengthen operational efficiency and financial compliance within the college.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or a degree in a business-related field plus a CPA.
• Experience: Entry-level experience in processing travel reimbursements, procurement transactions, financial reporting, or reconciliation activities.
• Skills: Application of accounting principles, governmental accounting standards (GASB), financial reconciliation, compliance monitoring, and customer service.
• Bonus: Experience with higher education or governmental accounting, knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and familiarity with enterprise financial systems and reporting tools.
