Digital Manufacturing Data & AI Consultant | Life Sciences | Accenture

This role focuses on transforming manufacturing and operations for pharmaceutical, biotech, medical technology, distributor, and consumer health clients by applying data and AI to help bring lifesaving medicines and products to patients globally.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Analyze client’s current state processes, technology tools, and organizational structure to design a data and AI insight-driven future state.
• Design future-state process specifications, including AI integration points, operating model changes, human-machine interaction, and workforce adoption approaches for Life Sciences manufacturing.
• Apply generative AI and agent-based modeling to accelerate scenario planning, exception management, and autonomous decision-making in client projects.
• Collaborate with clients to deploy predictive maintenance, digital twins, and intelligent automation across their manufacturing and distribution networks.
• Support data strategy, governance, and architecture to ensure high-quality, AI-ready supply chain data across various enterprise platforms.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years) work experience in process excellence, process redesign, or management consulting, with industry experience in Life Sciences, Consumer Goods Industrial, Energy, Utilities or Chemical and Natural Resources.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years in process excellence, process redesign, or management consulting; minimum 1 year using AI-assisted analytics, visualization, and Gen AI tools for content generation and low-fi UIs; minimum 1 year integrating AI and automating business process design; minimum 1 year delivering project work in consulting or relevant industry.
• Skills: AI-assisted analytics, visualization, and Gen AI tools; integrating AI and automating business process design; process analysis; building analytical frameworks and data-driven assessments; applying AX Design principles.
• Bonus: Familiarity with process mapping or modeling tools; strong analytical skills to communicate complex findings; client-facing consulting or advisory experience; fluent application of AI tools including agent building; embedding AI Design principles into process specifications; identifying agentic AI transformation points; using AI-assisted benchmarking; demonstrated continuous learning with emerging AI tools; expertise in big data technologies, ontology, and AI/ML frameworks; ability to analyze data and translate into recommendations; understanding of modern data and AI strategy (data mesh, data products, semantic layers); familiarity with digital manufacturing platforms, factory IT/OT, digital twins, and advanced automation, with experience architecting for manufacturing use cases; understanding of GxP and regulatory considerations in pharma manufacturing.
