This Staff Accountant position is pivotal to the accounting team, contributing significantly to daily accounting operations and the crucial month-end close process. What You’ll Actually Do
• Vendor Invoices: Review, verify, and process vendor invoices to ensure accurate and timely payments.
• Banking Verifications: Perform necessary vendor banking verifications to maintain secure financial transactions.
• Payment Application: Apply customer payments and assist with collection-related activities to manage accounts receivable.
• Journal Entries: Prepare and post various journal entries, ensuring all supporting documentation is accurately maintained.
• Account Reconciliations: Complete monthly account reconciliations using Oracle Fusion to ensure financial accuracy.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance with a strong understanding of GAAP and month-end close procedures.
• Experience: 1-2 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably gained in a corporate environment.
• Skills: Strong Excel and analytical skills, high attention to detail, quick learning ability, and capacity to operate independently.
• Bonus: Experience with an ERP system such as Oracle Fusion, Great Plains, SAP, or NetSuite.
