What You’ll Actually Do
• Reconcile Statements: Locate, review, and reconcile carrier commission statements, ensuring accuracy and completeness in all supporting documentation.
• Resolve Discrepancies: Collaborate with agency representatives to support policy triage activities, helping to identify, track, and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
• Support Reconciliation: Monitor the month-end bank reconciliation process and provide support with research and issue resolution as needed.
• Data Entry: Ensure financial and operational data is entered into internal systems accurately and in a timely, consistent manner.
• Month-End Close: Support the full month-end close process by staying aligned with key deadlines and contributing to the timely completion of assigned tasks.
The Must-Haves
• Background: This is an early career opportunity, suitable for candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Alternatively, individuals with 1–3 years of direct, relevant experience in accounting or financial operations are encouraged to apply.
• Experience: Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in core accounting functions, specifically general ledger reconciliations, managing accounts payable and receivable processes, and preparing accurate journal entries. Experience in supporting month-end close processes and monitoring bank reconciliations is highly valued.
• Skills: Strong Microsoft Excel skills are essential, including practical experience with functions such as VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and basic formulas to support data analysis and reporting. The role demands exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, coupled with strong time management and organizational skills to effectively prioritize tasks and meet key deadlines. Additionally, proven problem-solving and analytical abilities are required, alongside strong communication skills to facilitate effective collaboration across internal teams and with carrier partners.
