What You’ll Actually Do
• Analyze: Perform project accounting tasks and analyze financial data for assigned projects using company systems.
• Support: Assist with and support timely Accounts Payable transactions and review invoices for accurate cost coding.
• Ensure: Conduct verification of subcontractor compliance (e.g., contracts, insurance) and escalate discrepancies.
• Reconcile: Learn and perform assigned month-end close activities, including posting journal entries and reconciling general ledger accounts.
• Prepare: Support preparation of project billings in accordance with contract requirements and company policies.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited degree program in Finance, Accounting, Construction Management, or a related field, with a basic understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial processes.
• Experience: Minimum of one year of related experience; internship or co-op experience in accounting or finance is preferred.
• Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook; highly organized with accuracy and attention to detail; professional verbal and written communication skills.
• Bonus: Demonstrated interest in cost accounting, construction finance, or project-based financial management; basic understanding of financial systems (e.g., SAP) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools for financial analysis, data validation, and process automation is desired.
