This role is crucial for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring timely processing of transactions, and safeguarding company assets by supporting daily financial operations. The position works closely with leadership and office staff to maintain organized financial systems.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Processing: Process and update company financial records, including payments, purchase orders, and vendor information.
• Reconciliation: Reconcile various accounts and diligently follow up on any reconciling items to maintain financial accuracy.
• Account Management: Maintain accurate customer account records and actively follow up on customer account collections.
• Customer Service: Answer customer account questions and/or vendor account questions to provide excellent service to internal and external partners.
• Administrative Support: Support general administrative office functions, including answering incoming calls and assisting with mail distribution as needed.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. College-level coursework in accounting, finance, or business administration.
• Experience: Experience in accounts receivable, accounts payable, procurement, receiving, or bookkeeping functions.
• Skills: Accurate financial record keeping, account reconciliation, timely processing of financial transactions, customer account management, and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
• Bonus: Experience specifically within a retail, hardware, or building materials environment.
