Accountant – Revenue | Grand Sierra Resort
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Grand Sierra Resort, located in Reno, NV. Grand Sierra Resort operates as a comprehensive hospitality and entertainment organization offering diverse guest experiences. This position is vital for ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial documents across all revenue streams, from gaming and F&B to retail and hotel operations. The Accountant – Revenue will play a critical part in maintaining financial compliance and supporting sound business operations through precise auditing and reporting.

• Mission: Ensure the completeness, accuracy, and compliance of casino and non-gaming revenue records and related accounting activities.
• Tech Stack: Casino Insight, InfoGenesis POS, Infinium, Stratton Warren, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel)
What You’ll Actually Do
• General Ledger Management: Prepare and review journal entries pertaining to gaming and non-gaming operations into the general ledger system.
• Daily Auditing: Conduct scheduled daily audits according to casino, food/beverage, retail, and support operations’ standard operating procedures.
• Cash Reconciliation: Receive, record, and audit all food/beverage/hotel cash turn-in slips, reconciling them to supporting system reports.
• Financial Reporting: Compile statistical, financial, and auditing reports and tables related to cash receipts, variances, and profits/losses.
• Sales Verification: Reconcile Ticketmaster ticket sales on a daily and monthly basis and audit guest comp postings daily.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field required. This is an early career role that requires a strong understanding of the accounting process and technical systems involved.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in casino accounting or a related field; exposure to General Ledger Accounting is preferred.
• Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel), strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
• Bonus: Flexibility to work all shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekend hours as business needs dictate.
