Bookkeeper | Quality Concrete, Inc.

The Bookkeeper plays a crucial part in ensuring all financial transactions are meticulously recorded, discrepancies are identified and resolved, and precise company records are maintained. This position is vital for the smooth functioning of the office team, providing administrative support, and upholding the overall financial integrity of the organization.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Transaction Management: Enter data into bookkeeping software, meticulously document all financial transaction details, and continuously monitor these transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Discrepancy Resolution: Actively highlight discrepancies found within company financial records and thoroughly research possible reasons for any errors or differences between expected and actual account balances.
• Transaction Processing: Efficiently process both accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, ensuring timely and accurate entries within company records.
• Account Reconciliation: Systematically reconcile company accounts, conducting detailed comparisons and reviews to identify and address any variances between internal accounting records and external bank or credit card statements.
• Administrative & Team Support: Manage basic administrative duties for the office team as needed, and provide comprehensive support to other team members to ensure smooth departmental operations.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Candidates should possess an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or hold a Certified Public Bookkeeper certification. This role requires fundamental knowledge of accounting principles and practical experience in recording financial transactions for both organizations and individuals.
• Experience: Proven experience or knowledge in using a software system for processing accounting transactions. Demonstrated experience or skill in managing accounts payable and receivable, along with conducting bank reconciliation to review differences between accounting records and bank or credit card statements.
• Skills: Strong mathematical aptitude, excellent data entry skills, an exceptional eye for detail, superior organizational skills, the ability to prioritize projects effectively, a proven capacity to meet strict deadlines, and clear communication skills to convey complex financial data.
