Financial Services Accounting Intern | RDV Corporation
The Tone:
This is a part-time internship at RDV Corporation, located in downtown Grand Rapids, MI. This role supports the Financial Services Accounting team by performing a variety of accounting-related duties. The intern will contribute to a culture that values teamwork, critical thinking, and outstanding customer service. This position is vital for ensuring accurate financial record-keeping and supporting the team’s operational efficiency.

• Mission: This person supports the accounting team by accurately processing financial data and performing various accounting tasks.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Invoice Processing: Compile and scan invoices for several entities.
• Data Entry & Verification: Review vendor invoices, verify OCR-captured data, and input missing information.
• Account Reconciliation: Enter monthly account activity based on provided bank statements.
• Expense Review: Examine employee expense reports and cross-reference them with supporting receipts.
• Journal Entry Preparation: Create and input general journal entries as necessary.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-level position for a current college junior or senior with completed or in progress related coursework in accounting or a related field.
• Experience: Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on accuracy and quality; excellent organizational skills with the ability to initiate, prioritize, follow through on projects, work independently, and be self-directed; positive, professional, and service-oriented demeanor; uncompromised commitment to the highest level of confidentiality in all job responsibilities.
