Real Estate Associate Attorney (Mid- to Senior-Level) | Morrison Foerster

The TL;DR
• Role: Full Time
• Location: In-person, New York, Boston
• Pay: $310000–$390000 yearly
• Team: Real Estate Practice Group
• Mission: Advise real estate industry participants on all types of real estate transactions, including acquisition, development, financing, ownership, leasing, and operation.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Transaction Execution: Advise clients on real estate acquisitions, dispositions, and portfolio transactions.
• Financing Representation: Represent both lenders and borrowers in complex construction and permanent financings.
• Investment Structuring: Facilitate equity joint venture investments, including structuring and entity formation.
• Fund Management: Handle matters related to REITs and various real estate funds.
• Asset Versatility: Manage transactions involving diverse asset types, such as residential, industrial, office, retail, hospitality, and land.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Juris Doctor degree, strong academic credentials, and admission to the New York state bar or eligibility to waive in.
• Experience: 4-6 years of law firm experience, specifically in acquisitions and dispositions, construction and permanent financings (representing lenders and borrowers), and joint ventures. Demonstrated experience with portfolio transactions, REITs, real estate funds, and equity joint venture investments.
• Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to attentively listen, actively engage, and effectively communicate complex matters both orally and in writing. Possess a strong work ethic, team orientation, and an interest in taking on increased levels of responsibility.
