Staff Accountant | Envita Solutions

What You’ll Actually Do
• Accounting Functions: Learn and perform significant accounting functions within the department, including general ledger, cash receipts, cash outflows, capital, and payroll.
• Financial Close: Participate in the monthly and annual financial statement close process, preparing journal entries and completing balance sheet reconciliations.
• Disbursements Management: Process regular and periodic disbursement cycles to ensure timely payments to suppliers and accurate customer scrap recycling rebates.
• Accounts Payable: Input accounts payable vouchers and invoices, verifying proper documentation, approval, and accurate coding to accounts and departments.
• Fixed Asset Management: Manage the FAS (fixed asset system) detailed listing of company assets, processing additions, deletions, and calculating depreciation.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, an early-career accounting professional.
• Experience: 0-5 years of accounting experience. A background in public accounting (audit or tax) or a business accounting department is preferred, as is experience with Oracle PeopleSoft ERP.
• Skills: Ability to use the Oracle PeopleSoft Accounting ERP for general ledger accounting, ability to handle sensitive financial information, strong desire to learn about accounting processes and systems, strong problem-solving skills, and excellent communication skills.
• Bonus: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or on the CPA track preferred upon hire.
