This is a Staff Accountant role for NCheng LLP, located in New York City with a hybrid schedule. This role is crucial for supporting daily accounting operations for both clients and internal departments, ensuring accurate data entry and compliance with firm policies. What You’ll Actually Do
• Transactional Processing: Process accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll entries, ensuring timely and accurate recording of financial data.
• Financial Reconciliations: Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and assist with reconciling key balance sheet accounts like credit cards and petty cash.
• Data Organization: Maintain organized filing systems for invoices and financial records, supporting the retrieval of documentation for audits or client requests.
• Month-End Support: Help compile financial data for monthly closings, including journal entries and adjustments, under guidance from senior staff.
• Reporting Contribution: Contribute to the creation of internal financial reports, weekly cash-flow statements, and other client deliverables as needed.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Experience: 0–3 years of accounting or finance experience, which may include internships.
• Skills: Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks or Sage, and proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
