The Tone:
This is a full-time Administrative Fellowship at Essentia Health, with locations available in Fargo, ND; Brainerd, MN; and Duluth, MN. A possible hybrid option is also available. Essentia Health is a healthcare organization dedicated to facilitating the transition of individuals with advanced degrees into leadership and management roles within the healthcare profession. This preceptor-directed program is carefully designed to foster independence and provide invaluable experiential learning, bridging the gap between academic knowledge and the practical realities of managing complex healthcare organizations. The role is significant in developing future healthcare leaders.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Contribute to Strategic Planning: Work alongside Senior Leaders to engage in strategic planning initiatives, helping to define the future direction and goals of the organization.
• Participate in Operations Management: Gain practical, hands-on experience by immersing in the operational aspects of various healthcare services, including both hospital-based services and clinical operations.
• Support Business Development and New Ventures: Be actively involved in exploring and developing new business opportunities and contributing to the launch of innovative projects.
• Implement Engagement and Process Improvement Strategies: Collaborate on the development and execution of strategies focused on enhancing employee engagement and driving process excellence across departments.
• Gain Exposure to Core Administrative Functions: Experience a broad range of administrative services, including finance, human resources, information systems, and other areas of interest within the organization.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Master’s of Healthcare Administration (MHA) or Master’s of Business Administration (MBA). This fellowship is designed for individuals transitioning from academic knowledge to practical healthcare management.
• Experience: No prior professional experience is required. This is a structured, one-year program specifically created to provide preceptor-directed experiential learning opportunities with Senior Leaders.
• Qualifications: No certification or licensure is required for this administrative fellowship.
