This is a role at a growing real estate investment platform in South Florida, seeking an accountant ready to expand beyond basic bookkeeping. The organization is looking for an individual to work directly with their Controller and receive hands-on training in specialized fund accounting. This position is vital for managing the financial records of multiple entities and active development projects, contributing to the platform’s continued growth.

• Mission: To accurately manage financial operations across various real estate entities and development projects, while developing expertise in fund accounting.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Manage: Oversee all aspects of full-cycle accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Maintain: Manage the financial books for approximately 10 entities, encompassing active real estate development projects.
• Reconcile: Handle and reconcile all intercompany transactions efficiently and accurately.
• Analyze: Review financial statements to identify discrepancies and investigate the root causes of financial variances.
• Develop: Learn and contribute to fund-level reporting processes directly alongside the Controller.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level professional with a strong understanding of fundamental accounting principles, specifically debits and credits.
• Experience: Proven experience in full-cycle accounting functions.
• Skills: A keen eye for detail and a demonstrated problem-solving mindset.
• Bonus: Prior experience in real estate accounting is a plus, as is experience with the Yardi accounting software.
