Program Quality Engineer | Raytheon
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Raytheon, located in McKinney, TX. Raytheon, as part of RTX, develops advanced aerospace and defense solutions, drawing on over 100 years of engineering expertise to protect nations and allies. This role is critical for the Next Generation Jammer (NGJ) program, ensuring the implementation and management of quality and mission assurance systems to deliver compliant and high-performing electronic warfare solutions. The work directly contributes to solving complex global problems and staying ahead of emerging threats.

• Team: Supports the Next Generation Jammer (NGJ) Program Quality and Mission Assurance team, reporting to the NGJ Program Quality and Mission Assurance Lead.
• Mission: Implement and manage the Quality and Mission Assurance System and customer quality flow-down requirements throughout proposal and program lifecycles for the Next Generation Jammer program.
• Tech Stack: AS9100, CORE, Lean practices, APQP, AS9145, IPDS/gating, STAGES, FRACAS, GIDEP
What You’ll Actually Do
• Program Implementation: Implement Quality and Mission Assurance responsibilities as a member of the Next Generation Jammer (NGJ) Program Quality and Mission Assurance team.
• Risk Management: Ensure programmatic and technical risks are identified, contained, and managed throughout each phase of business pursuit and program implementation.
• Performance Assessment: Assess Program/Product Quality performance and ensure thorough root cause and corrective action (RCCA) is implemented, including leading investigations and cross-functional RCCA activities.
• Process Improvement: Lead multi-functional teams in problem resolution and continuous improvement activities with an emphasis on CORE, Lean practices, and other critical-thinking methods.
• Relationship Management: Maintain positive relationships with program administration, cross-functional program key team members, suppliers, customers, and government representatives.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of five (5) years of experience in Quality, Engineering, Operations, or Program Management.
• Experience: Working experience in business strategic planning/proposal, Engineering development, production, test, product acceptance and/or post-delivery support; experience complying with Quality Management Systems AS9100.
• Skills: Root cause and corrective action (RCCA), problem resolution, continuous improvement, risk and opportunity management, quality system implementation, and strong written/verbal presentation skills.
• Bonus: Active Secret Clearance; experience with Raytheon Integrated Product Development System (IPDS)/gating or STAGES processes; experience in participating in risk & opportunity management, assessment, mitigation, and capture; working experience in CORE processes or American Society for Quality (ASQ) or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) Certification; working experience in AS9145 (Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) & Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)).
