The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Hunter Pacific Group, located remotely in Hawaii. Hunter Pacific Group is a woman-owned consulting firm with over 20 years of experience delivering cost estimating, scheduling, and construction advisory services for some of the nation’s most complex projects. This position is crucial for the company’s expansion in Hawaii, providing an opportunity for estimators at all experience levels to contribute to impactful federal, healthcare, higher education, and commercial projects.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Cost Estimating: Prepare conceptual, schematic, design development, and construction cost estimates across various project phases.
• Quantity Takeoffs: Review project documentation to perform accurate quantity surveys and develop pricing using HPG estimating methodologies.
• Project Management: Manage multiple estimating assignments, ensuring all schedules and deliverable deadlines are consistently met.
• Client Relationships: Collaborate with project stakeholders, participate in client meetings, and build strong client relationships through excellent service.
• Technical Documentation: Produce estimate narratives, comprehensive reports, research studies, and other necessary technical documentation.

The Must-Haves
• Background: All experience levels, from early-career to senior, with a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Economics, or a related field (or equivalent industry experience).
• Experience: Prior experience in construction estimating, project engineering, field engineering, or related construction disciplines; senior levels require experience leading complex federal construction estimating projects.
• Skills: Strong analytical, organizational, written, and verbal communication abilities; exceptional attention to detail and capability to manage multiple priorities.
• Bonus: Experience with federal construction projects; proficiency in MCACES MII, PACES, Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Excel, or RSMeans; experience with healthcare, higher education, or other large-scale construction projects; professional certifications such as CCP, CEP, PMP, or PE.
