What You’ll Actually Do
• Review: Prior year work papers and recent interim financial statements before engagements.
• Perform: Audit procedures for moderately complex areas of client operations.
• Draft: Relevant management letter comments, supported by factual information from client personnel.
• Maintain: Knowledge of clients’ policies, procedures, and business conditions.
• Understand: Clients’ basic accounting practices, transactions, and their inter-relationships with financial information systems.
• Assess: The effectiveness of clients’ accounting systems, including computer control structure and environment.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting. Candidates must have 150 CPA credits and all degrees completed before the full-time start date, along with a GPA of 3.0 or higher. This role is designed for individuals in the early stages of their professional accounting journey.
• Experience: Some work experience, whether related to accounting or not, is required. Candidates should also demonstrate initiative and drive through leadership experiences in work and/or campus extracurriculars.
• Skills: Strong, hands-on Excel skills are essential. Additionally, candidates need excellent verbal and written communication skills, advanced problem solving and critical thinking abilities, and a motivation to continuously learn and improve, showing an easy-to-coach attitude. Unwavering integrity in all situations is also a key value.
• Bonus: A plan to complete the CPA exam within two years of employment with Rehmann is highly valued, with firm support provided. Enthusiasm, an eagerness to engage and contribute, and a willingness to routinely travel to client locations are also important for success in this role.
