The Tone:
This is a full-time, onsite role at The Nature Conservancy’s Oregon Conservation Center, located in Portland, OR. The Nature Conservancy is dedicated to conserving the lands and waters upon which all life depends, working to create a world where nature and people can thrive. This position is essential as the primary point of contact for all office operations, facilities management, and reception functions within the center. The Office & Operations Coordinator ensures the vital infrastructure and support systems are in place for staff, volunteers, and the overall conservation mission to succeed efficiently and effectively.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Office Operations & Reception: Serve as the primary point of contact for all daily office operations, encompassing the management of office logistics and reception duties, ensuring a welcoming and efficiently running environment at the Oregon Conservation Center.
• Facilities Management & Lease Coordination: Oversee comprehensive facilities management, which includes coordinating all necessary facility maintenance activities and handling lease coordination responsibilities for the center’s physical premises.
• Safety Compliance & Fleet Management: Ensure rigorous adherence to safety compliance standards within the office and actively manage the organization’s fleet vehicles, including their operational readiness and maintenance schedules.
• Administrative Reporting & Volunteer Coordination: Execute accurate Workday time reporting for staff members and skillfully coordinate volunteers, ensuring their effective engagement and support for various center activities.
• Operational Initiatives Support: Provide dedicated support for multiple operational initiatives across the Oregon Conservation Center, contributing to projects that enhance the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the organization’s conservation efforts.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Hold a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or an associate’s degree as a minimum educational requirement.
• Experience: Possess at least 1 year of professional experience if holding a bachelor’s degree, or a minimum of 3 years of professional experience if holding an associate’s degree.
• Skills: Demonstrate strong organizational skills for managing multiple tasks and priorities effectively, along with excellent customer service skills for interacting with staff, volunteers, and external contacts.
