Director, Analytics – EAX | Electronic Arts

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Electronic Arts, located in Ontario, Canada (Hybrid). Electronic Arts creates next-level entertainment experiences that inspire players and fans around the world, fostering a global community where creativity thrives. As part of the Central Technology’s Data & Insights team, this role is crucial for transforming data into actionable insights, guiding strategy, and building data and AI solutions to improve decisions. The Director will specifically lead critical initiatives for the EAX division, focusing on player lifecycle growth through personalization, experimentation, and engagement strategies to enhance acquisition, retention, and monetization.

• Pay: $160700–$224700 CAD yearly
• Team: Data & Insights (D&I) team, reporting to the Head of Data & Insights – Enterprise Analytics.
• Mission: Lead critical initiatives focused on player lifecycle growth through personalization, experimentation, and engagement strategies for the EAX platform.
• Tech Stack: SQL, Python/R, BI tools (e.g., Looker)

What You’ll Actually Do
• Team Leadership: Coach and develop an analytics team, improving analytical rigor and establishing standards for metrics, design, and documentation.
• Strategic Planning: Own the analytics and experimentation roadmap for EAX, aligning stakeholders on priorities to support player experience, product development, and business goals.
• Executive Partnership: Act as a strategic thought partner to senior leaders, leading insights-driven forums and translating complex analyses into actionable recommendations.
• Advanced Analytics: Drive advanced analytics capabilities, leveraging AI, machine learning, and personalization strategies to elevate insight generation and business impact.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Director-level leadership in analytics or data science, with a focus on player lifecycle growth, personalization, experimentation, and engagement strategies.
• Experience: 10+ years of experience in analytics or data science; 3+ years of experience hiring and leading teams; experience partnering with Product, Engineering, and Brand leaders to influence roadmaps and lead executive-level business reviews; a foundation in scaling experimentation (A/B testing) programs, personalization strategies, and data-driven growth initiatives.
• Skills: Expertise working with large-scale datasets, SQL, Python/R, and BI tools (e.g., Looker); experience translating complex data into clear, actionable insights that drive measurable business outcomes.
