Sr. Supply Chain Manager, North America EMS | Motorola Solutions

The Tone:
This is a hybrid leadership role based out of Schaumburg, IL, with significant travel required to Mexico and Chicago. • Team: Manages 2-3 direct reports, oversees an extended team of ~15, reporting to the Director of Global Materials & Supply Planning
• Mission: Owns and drives the end-to-end supply planning functions for the Mexico supply base, ensuring seamless supply flow to meet revenue goals and enhance customer experience.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Supply Chain Leadership: Own and drive the end-to-end supply planning functions for the Mexico supply base, with potential expansion to other North America EMS locations.
• Supplier Relationship Management: Cultivate strong operational relationships with supply partners to ensure reliable and efficient material flow and drive accountability.
• Revenue and Customer Alignment: Collaborate closely with Business Operations and Delivery Management to synchronize supply plans with revenue targets and optimize the customer experience.
• Operational Execution: Lead the operational execution of supply plans, including managing cadences, evaluating inventory and capacity strategies, approving cost implications, and overseeing component safety planning.
• Team Leadership and Development: Manage and develop a team of 2-3 direct reports, overseeing an extended team of ~15 employees, and developing a robust talent management program.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree with 10+ years of progressive experience in purchasing, supply chain planning, materials management, demand management, inventory planning, or a related field.
• Experience: Proven experience managing an EMS relationship and working with ERP and Supplier Collaboration software systems, along with experience participating in and driving strategic initiatives.
• Skills: Core analytic skills to independently assess unclear situations, strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes, excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, and strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Bonus: CPIM / APICS certification preferred, Spanish language proficiency is highly desired, and experience with Google Sheets, Slides, Excel, Tableau, PowerBI, and Oracle is advantageous.
