Relationship Manager, TC Mid Market (CIBG) | Mashreq
The Tone:
This is a full-time Relationship Manager role at Mashreq, situated in the United Arab Emirates within the Corporate & Investment Banking Group. Mashreq is a leading financial institution dedicated to providing comprehensive banking and investment solutions. This role is pivotal in maintaining and growing Mashreq’s mid-market client portfolio, driving business development, and ensuring the delivery of tailored financial products, thereby directly contributing to the bank’s strategic objectives and financial performance.

• Team: Corporate & Investment Banking Group (CIBG) – TC Mid Market team, with a reporting line to a Team Leader.
• Mission: To own the acquisition, strategic management, and profitable growth of mid-market client relationships, ensuring the achievement of the Unit’s financial and non-financial targets.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Client Relationship Management: Maintain and deepen robust relationships with existing clients within the stipulated business strategy, focusing on the mid-market segment to maximize Return on Assets (ROA) and the bank’s share of wallet.
• New Business Origination: Proactively identify, solicit, and develop acceptable new relationships within the defined target market, aligned with the Unit’s plan for business growth and market expansion.
• Credit Facility Structuring: Independently originate, structure, and recommend a comprehensive range of appropriate credit facilities, encompassing working capital solutions, term finance, treasury products, and other investment banking services where applicable.
• Performance and Target Achievement: Consistently achieve both financial and non-financial targets as outlined in Management by Objectives (MBOs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), driving the Unit’s overall performance.
• Portfolio Optimization: Strategically optimize the balance sheet usage and facility structure for the portfolio under management, ensuring efficient capital deployment and risk management.
The Must-Haves
• Background: A senior-level professional preferably holding a CA or MBA, demonstrating a complete and clear understanding of banking credit policies and operating systems, crucial for navigating complex financial landscapes.
• Experience: A minimum of 7-9 years of dedicated experience in marketing or corporate finance, with a proven ability to independently handle and structure large, intricate transactions.
• Skills: Strong marketing acumen, comprehensive credit and legal knowledge, and a good understanding of various financial products/services offered by the bank, including Working Capital, Term Finance, Investment Banking, and Treasury products. Possesses excellent communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills, essential for effective client engagement and team collaboration.
• Bonus: Demonstrated potential to develop into a Team Leader role, including the capacity to officiate for the current Team Leader when required.
