The Tone:
This is a full-time role at a client of Sterling Personnel, Inc., located in Corpus Christi, TX, with the ability to work in a remote environment. Sterling Personnel, Inc. recruits dedicated legal professionals for their clients. This role is crucial for supporting attorneys in various aspects of litigation, ensuring all necessary documentation is prepared and maintained efficiently. This position facilitates the smooth operation of case management by working closely with clients, attorneys, and other legal professionals.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Drafting Documents: Draft pleadings, motions, and orders specifically for probate, estate planning, commercial law, and related matters.
• Legal Research: Conduct comprehensive legal research, managing the process from start to finish through each phase of a case.
• Document Filing: File legal documents precisely using e-filing systems, ensuring full compliance with local court rules and requirements.
• Case Documentation Management: Organize and manage all pertinent legal documentation, including exhibits, evidence, briefs, and appendices, across multiple case-related matters, alongside understanding, preparing, and collating these documents.
• Administrative & Executive Support: Execute essential administrative duties and provide experienced executive administrative support for legal professionals, which includes organizing files for billing, customer, and client records.

The Must-Haves
• Background: This role requires a detail-oriented and proactive individual with a solid understanding of legal procedures, particularly in Commercial Law, Estate, and Civil Litigation.
• Experience: Requires a minimum of 2-5 years of recent, hands-on experience specifically in Commercial Law, as well as 2-5 years in Estate and Civil Litigation. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal practice software is also essential.
• Skills: Possess excellent organizational skills, strong time management abilities, and outstanding writing and communication skills. Demonstrated expertise in legal writing, drafting, and proofreading is critical.
• Bonus: Bilingual Spanish language proficiency is considered a plus, and a Paralegal Certificate is preferred but not strictly required.
