• Mission: To lead and oversee checking account operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement for optimal efficiency and member satisfaction.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Operations Leadership: Lead and oversee the processing of checking account transactions, ensuring accuracy, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency.
• Reconciliation & Resolution: Manage routine and complex account reconciliations, promptly investigating and resolving discrepancies while collaborating with the accounting department to clear general ledger differences.
• Member & Internal Support: Provide expert assistance to members and internal teams by addressing escalated checking account inquiries, resolving complex issues, and handling account research and adjustment requests.
• Process Improvement & Training: Lead process improvement initiatives, collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance operations, and conduct training sessions for team members on procedures and compliance.
• Compliance & Workflow Management: Serve as a subject matter expert in industry regulations and internal policies, monitor and manage workflow, and ensure daily transactions adhere to limits and maintain operational efficiency.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Senior-level professional with a H.S. Diploma or GED, experienced in checking account operations within the financial industry.
• Experience: 4+ years in cash management or the financial industry, 2+ years in customer service, and 4+ years in item processing or related financial operations roles.
• Skills: Account reconciliation, regulatory compliance, member service, dispute resolution, process improvement, team coaching and training, foreign check processing.
