• Team: Financial reporting team
• Mission: Support the accurate, complete, and timely management and reporting of the Bank’s balance sheet and Profit and Loss accounts.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Office (Excel/VBA, Word, Access), Oracle

What You’ll Actually Do
• Manage technology suspense accounts, ensuring validity of transactions, timely asset capitalization, and cost monitoring against budget.
• Produce daily financial reconciliations between Front and Back Office systems, along with daily Profit and Loss reports.
• Maintain the Bank’s fixed assets and leased assets register, including review of applications for system development and related Head Office reports.
• Execute monthly closing journals, ledger adjustments, analyses, and reconciliations, including balance sheet controls for nostro accounts and accruals processing.
• Prepare and review comprehensive financial reports, including pension accounting journals, half-yearly Variable Interest Entity reporting, and quarterly/semi-annual US GAAP submissions.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field, coupled with a strong background in financial reporting and governance frameworks.
• Experience: Prior experience working in financial closing and reporting teams or a Big 4 accounting firm practice, with good exposure to accounting software packages.
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/VBA, Word, and Access; strong written and verbal communication; excellent problem-solving skills; keen attention to detail and accuracy.
• Bonus: Professional accounting qualification (CA preferred); experience with a focus on controls and governance.
