VP, Enterprise Information Technology | New Relic

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at New Relic, located remotely. New Relic builds an intelligent platform that empowers companies to thrive in an AI-first world by giving them unparalleled insight into their complex systems. This role is crucial for leading the company’s unified technology mandate, transforming fragmented operations, and driving an AI-First strategy. The VP of EIT will ensure operational reliability, rigorous compliance, and fiscal efficiency for the company’s internal systems.

• Pay: $287,000–$325,000 yearly
• Mission: Lead the transformation of fragmented IT operations into a scalable architecture, driving an AI-First strategy, and ensuring operational reliability, rigorous compliance, and fiscal efficiency.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Strategic Unification: Architect and drive a strategy to eliminate the “Silo Tax,” reduce technical debt, and centralize technical operations.
• Operational Excellence: Implement the “Customer Zero” reliability model to ensure internal systems meet rigorous stability and monitoring standards.
• Governance & Compliance: Lead the organization’s compliance efforts for internal tooling, specifically scaling and sustaining FedRAMP/IL4 requirements for those systems.
• Fiscal Stewardship: Drive resource allocation and cost optimization strategies that directly impact EBITDA margins and support Rule of 40 goals.
• Leadership & Talent: Manage and develop high-performing teams, mentor Directors, and foster a culture of cross-functional accountability and innovation.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Executive leadership with a deep understanding of internal and external business contexts, and the ability to map technical work to business outcomes.
• Experience: 15+ years of enterprise IT experience with 10+ years leading teams, including multiple levels of management, demonstrating a proven ability to break down silos, inspire execution, and navigate ambiguity.
• Skills: Ability to navigate cultural norms and influence stakeholders with diplomacy, anticipate trends and manage risks, communicate how technical priorities align with long-term company goals, and drive systemic change to build better solutions.
