Regulatory Government Affairs Specialist | NYCM Insurance

What You’ll Actually Do
Monitoring: Monitor, interpret, and analyze all state and federal regulatory and legislative introductions or amendments to identify their impact on the company and its divisional partners.
Guidance: Provide strategic insight, direction, education, and clear communication to divisional partners to ensure comprehension of all regulatory and legislative introductions or amendments.
Compliance: Collaborate with divisional partners to timely incorporate all state and federal regulatory and legislative changes into company processes to ensure full compliance.
Risk Review: Review external public relations material to ensure there is no reputational, financial, legal, or regulatory risk to the company.
Complaint Resolution: Oversee all consumer-related complaints filed directly with the company or through regulatory bodies and legislative leaders, ensuring investigation, resolution, and timely responses.

The Must-Haves
• Background: High School Diploma
• Experience: 3 years’ experience with NYCM Insurance or a related field.
• Skills: Familiarity with legal terminology and research techniques, strong oral and written communication skills, and the ability to comprehend and interpret legal writings.
• Bonus: Effective time management, organizational, prioritization, attention to detail, and multitasking skills.
