What You’ll Actually Do
• Liaison: Act as a liaison between clients, attorneys, insurance adjusters, medical providers, and the WCAB.
• Documentation: Gather relevant documentation, including reports and records, for workers compensation cases.
• Medical Monitoring: Monitor the progress of medical treatment for clients involved in workers compensation claims.
• Case Tracking: Track case deadlines, hearings, and status updates utilizing case management software.
• Client Service: Provide exceptional client service by keeping clients informed of case progress and explaining procedures and timelines.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required, focusing on providing administrative services and supporting a legal team within a fast-paced environment.
• Experience: No specific years of experience required. Demonstrating extensive computer and database expertise, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, and typing no less than 35 WPM.
• Skills: Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple deadlines, strong writing and communication skills, and keen attention to detail. Exceptional problem-solving skills are also essential.
• Bonus: An Associate’s degree in paralegal studies, a paralegal certificate, or a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
