Store Leader (Manager) Trainee | 7-Eleven

The TL;DR

• Type: Full-time
• Location: In-person
• Pay: $19.00 – $21.00 hourly
• Team: Store’s leadership team, collaborating with one or two Assistant Store Leaders.
• Mission: Drive store profitability, develop the entire store team, and ensure exceptional customer care by executing merchandising and marketing initiatives.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft products (Word, Excel)

What You’ll Actually Do
• Customer Service Leadership: Oversee and provide customer service leadership, training, and coaching for all store employees.
• Program Implementation: Oversee and implement all merchandising and marketing programs effectively.
• Profitability Management: Utilize P&L and store reports to analyze performance, identify areas for improvement, and drive positive change in store profitability.
• Team Development: Maintain high employee retention by focusing on identifying qualified applicants, developing leaders, empowering employees, and encouraging productivity.
• Operational Management: Manage daily store operations, including cash handling, fuel transactions, and promotion of the rewards loyalty program, while ensuring a clean and safe environment.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Manager level, requiring previous supervisory experience within a retail environment.
• Experience: At least one year of retail management experience is required for candidates without a High School diploma or GED.
• Skills: Demonstrated customer service leadership, strong oral and written communication, effective interpersonal skills, and proficient computer knowledge (Microsoft Word, Excel preferred).
• Bonus: A High School diploma or GED is preferred. A valid Driver’s License from the state of residence with automotive liability insurance is required during employment.
