• Team: Registered nurses collaborate with nursing assistants and the medical team, without a patient assignment for the charge nurse.
• Mission: To manage intermediate care patients through frequent assessments and collaborative evaluations, optimizing clinical outcomes via ICU transition.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Patient Care: Provide comprehensive nursing care for trauma and transplant subspecialties, including isolated trauma, multisystem trauma, and pre/post-surgical cases.
• Assessment & Evaluation: Conduct frequent assessments and collaborate with the medical team to manage patients requiring intermediate care status.
• Continuity of Care: Facilitate smooth transitions for patients moving to or from ICU, ensuring optimal clinical outcomes.
• Team Collaboration: Deliver patient care in close conjunction with nursing assistants and the medical team.
• Specialized Management: Manage complex pain and wound management for patients within the progressive care unit.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Registered Nurse specializing in Progressive Care (PCU).
• Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Skills: Current BLS-AHA and ACLS-AHA certifications, the ability to read and interpret cardiac strips, and NIHSS certification. Must hold an RN license (Compact Accepted).
• Bonus: Prior experience in travel nursing and familiarity with the EPIC electronic health record system.
