The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Sonsray Inc, located in Vernon, CA. Sonsray moves mountains for the construction, transportation, and agriculture industries as the West Coast’s largest Thermo King & CASE dealership, offering sales, parts, service, rental, and leasing. This role is crucial for supporting the Fleet division by diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining transport refrigeration systems on trucks, trailers, and related equipment. This position ensures equipment reliability and compliance through preventive maintenance, accurate diagnostics, and quality repairs.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Diagnose & Repair: Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair components of truck, trailer, V-series refrigeration units, gensets, and APUs.
• Address Freon Leaks: Identify and repair freon leaks by assembling parts, soldering, and utilizing specialized refrigeration equipment.
• Perform Maintenance: Execute preventive maintenance, component replacement, and service of refrigeration equipment using diagnostic tools.
• Install New Units: Install new Thermo King units on trailers, trucks, V-series units, and APUs as required.
• Document Services: Maintain accurate records of transport refrigeration unit services by reviewing shop orders, preparing estimates, and detailing repairs.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Skilled technician specializing in transport refrigeration systems for fleets.
• Experience: 3-5 years diagnosing and repairing Thermo King, Carrier, APUs, gensets, and V-series units.
• Skills: Proficient in using diagnostic tools, scanners, and multi-meters; knowledgeable in freon systems, leak detection, and soldering; capable of performing preventative maintenance and accurate repair documentation; basic computer literacy for diagnostics and logging repairs.
• Bonus: EPA 608/609 certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
