Intern Forensics & Valuation Summer 2027 | Multiple Locations | Forvis Mazars US
The Tone:
This is a seasonal internship at Forvis Mazars US, located in Multiple Locations. Forvis Mazars is an independent member of a leading global professional services network, comprising over 7,000 team members dedicated to delivering assurance, tax, and consulting services to clients across all 50 states and internationally. This role is important because it provides an opportunity to develop expertise and expand knowledge within the Forensics & Valuation practice, building collaborative relationships with both internal teams and clients, all with substantial professional development support from firm leadership.

• Mission: Develop expertise and expand knowledge in forensic accounting, litigation services, fraud investigations, and complex valuation issues for clients.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Valuation Models: Prepare business valuation models and reports for various client needs.
• Financial Analysis: Research and analyze industry, transactional, and economic information to support client engagements.
• Investigation Support: Participate in investigations, litigation support, and forensic consulting engagements.
• Document Review: Perform detailed analysis of financial and legal documents, identify potentially fraudulent transactions, and reconstruct financial statements.
• Audit Assistance: Assist audit teams with reviewing and testing fair value estimates.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level, pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited college/university.
• Experience: Maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher (in major and overall), with some travel up to 20% possibly required.
• Skills: Effective time management, strong oral and written communication skills, ability to work well with a team as well as independently, problem-solving attitude, close attention to detail.
• Bonus: Desire or the ability to sit for the CPA exam, or a desire to obtain the Accreditation in Business Valuation (ABV), Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA), and/or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) credentials.
