Intern Forensics & Valuation Summer 2027 | Multiple Locations | Forvis Mazars US

The Tone:
This is a seasonal internship at Forvis Mazars US, located in multiple locations. This role is important for supporting the firm’s Forensics & Valuation practice by assisting with forensic accounting, litigation services, fraud investigations, and complex valuation issues, contributing to the firm’s commitment to delivering an unmatched client experience. • Mission: This person will support the Forensics & Valuation practice by preparing valuation models, conducting research, and assisting with forensic consulting engagements to deliver an unmatched client experience.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Prepare: You will prepare business valuation models and reports for various client needs.
• Research: You will research and analyze industry, transactional, and economic information to support client engagements.
• Assist: You will assist audit teams by reviewing and testing fair value estimates as part of quality control procedures.
• Participate: You will participate in investigations, litigation support, and forensic consulting engagements, applying technical research skills.
• Perform: You will perform detailed analysis of financial and legal documents, analyze potentially fraudulent transactions, and reconstruct financial statements.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level position pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited college/university.
• Experience: No specific prior work experience is required, but proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is essential, and some travel up to 20% may be required.
• Skills: Effective time management, strong oral and written communication skills, ability to work well with a team and independently, problem-solving attitude, willingness to take initiative, close attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure and against deadlines.
• Bonus: A desire or the ability to sit for the CPA exam, or a desire to obtain the Accreditation in Business Valuation (ABV), Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA), and/or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) credentials.
